My Story
As a child I loved all things slimy and scaly. Snakes, turtles, and the occasional toad were my companions. My father was a fish hobbyist with a passion for breeding. I soon followed suit and was more interested with breeding my various animal pals.
As luck would have it, my father opened a small pet store. The Door of Opportunity opened, and I now had access to exotic reptiles at a cost a 16 year old could afford. My knowledge along with my own collection grew, and I was in heaven!
After several years and after finishing school, I decided to do something I could tell my children about. My grandfather and father were both Marines, so that was the path I took. It was a great experience, a hard but good 4 years. While stationed in southern California, I had access to even more exotic reptiles, and that's where I fell in love with the ball python.
The variety of colors and patterns amazed me. After my time with the Marines was up, it was back to the shop to start life over. This is where I eventually met my now-business-partner, Rick Cunningham of Cunninghams Elaphie. My love for the ball python led Rick to open his door to the python as well.
With a lot of love and even more tolerance from our respective wives, we put together a collection of high quality animals.
